The Story:
Graceland is a pivotal piece in my journey, representing my first major leap from still life into fine art. This acrylic-on-paper work captures a raw, casual moment of a close friend—a nudist—lost in study for her finals. The title is a play on her name, Grace, and the sacred landscape of the human form.
 
My work is deeply rooted and inspired by the intricate, ornamental textures of Gustav Klimt and the Art Nouveau era. In Graceland, I explored the contrast between the organic stillness of the figure and the high-frequency patterns of the hand-crafted Senegal bed cover she rests upon. It is a visual meditation on focus, comfort, and being entirely at home in one’s own skin.
 
 
The Gallery Editions:
