The Story:
Created in 2014 for my indie-jazz fusion album, Vaudevellia!, this self-portrait marks a pivotal bridge between my musical legacy and my journey as a visual artist. 
 
Originally an 18x24 acrylic on canvas, the piece captures the shamanic energy of my heart and essence—emerging from the jungle in a hand-painted headdress.
 
Inspired by the bold, high-contrast ethos of Warhol’s Pop Art, this work blends raw, organic textures with the retro-future energy of a disco-era aesthetic.
